I would contact Pinterest and let them know your concerns. Be nice and don't make accusations, just state what's going on and ask if they can help. I would also make a practice of backing up your website on a regular basis. Also, when you make pins, save them on your computer (along with descriptions, titles, etc.) so you can reproduce them if needed. Be careful who you grant access to your website - and when you do, don't allow admin control or grant access to modify or delete content.

Someone from Pinterest deleted an entire section of my website which included nearly a thousand pins with their matching music pieces--without any notice or warning. If Pinterest has any mercy, they will restore my collection which took over a year of juxtaposing. I've already lost 4 of my followers to my Pinterest website, & regard this deletion as an assault on my intellectual property! I hope I won't have to take more drastic measures to right this wrong. Sincerely W. Gordon Sawyer. 6-25/25.

Hi Robin. If pins are disappearing and board names are changing, it could be that someone has access to your account. Perhaps it was hacked. Change the password and see what happens.

I am going crazy! I created a number of boards, for several projects I'm working on - one is Botanical drawings for bookmarks and bookcovers. I was scanning my pins for several drawings, and dscovered that suddenly my pins were gone and all the pins were of pasta dishes! Board names were changed, and the pins were weird also. I don't know what is going on.

In reply to <a href="https://scottsmoneymachines.com/what-is-pinterest/#comment-151">Ginnie Stapelfeld</a>.

Hi Ginnie. To view your pins, click on your profile icon on the upper right when logged in. Then scroll down past your title and description, under the number of followers, and under the share and edit profile buttons... you will see tab called "Saved". Click on that and you will be able to see your pins. They will be separated by boards. If you want to delete a pin, hover over it and click on the pen icon at the bottom. This gives you the option to edit it or delete it. Keep in mind that Pinterest continuously updates what they consider to be best practices, and currently it is not recommended to delete old pins.

Hi Connie. To delete a Pinterest pin from your account, click on the pin to open it. Then you will see the image of the pin and just to the right of it near the top, there are three dots. Click on those three dots and choose "edit pin". At the bottom on the left, there is a button to delete the pin.

In reply to <a href="https://scottsmoneymachines.com/what-is-pinterest/#comment-135">Sarah</a>.

Hi Sarah. Group boards on Pinterest are boards that are open for collaboration. That means if you are a member of a group board, you can pin to it and other members of the board can repin your content. It's a very powerful way to share content and drive traffic. Group boards are not always easy to join - especially those that perform well. You have to ask the board owner for permission to collaborate and oftentimes they will look at your Pinterest performance to determine if you will be an asset to the board. It can be difficult in the beginning to gain some traction. Also, some board owners have a more liberal join policy and may even have a request button. But beware, because poor-performing group boards can actually do more harm than good to your account. One last comment about your Wix blog page: Because you are using Wix (or most free platforms), you do not own your domain and therefore do not own your links. The links to the content that you are posting (including the one right here) will no longer work if you choose to move to another platform (which you probably will need to do if your blog really takes off). Much of your marketing efforts will be in vain if those links that are now propagating around the Internet stop working. Just sayin.
